Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page is releasing recordings he made for Kenneth Anger's movie Lucifer Rising.
Page posted on his Facebook that on March 20, the music for Lucifer Rising And Other Sound Tracks will have its premiere and release.
He added that the music was recorded in his home studio in the early 70s, and that those recordings have been "revisited, remixed and released for the first time."
The collection will be available exclusively on JimmyPage.com.
Lucifer Rising, a short film by director Kenneth Anger, was completed in 1972 but not widely distributed until 1980.
Page composed a portion of the soundtrack for the movie, but Anger reportedly fired Page after waiting three years for the music to be completed.
Anger changed his plans and hired Bobby Beausoleil, a musician and actor who was originally set to appear in the film.
Beausoleil, a member of Charles Manson’s infamous “Family,” wrote and recorded the eventual soundtrack music after going to jail for life based on his role in a 1969 murder.
